Association Française Tauranga is a new community group dedicated to celebrating French culture in Tauranga and the wider region. We are bringing people together around language, events, friendship, and support for French visitors and migrants to New Zealand.

French CinéClub
Amélie — 25th Anniversary
Association Française Tauranga’s CinéClub brings you French films with English subtitles. Join us from 5:30pm in the foyer; the film starts at 6pm.
At a tiny Parisian café, the adorable yet painfully shy Amélie discovers a gift for helping others. Soon she is spending her days as a matchmaker, guardian angel and all-around do-gooder. But when she meets a handsome stranger, will she find the courage to become the star of her own love story?
Step into the whimsical world of this beloved French classic, filled with charm, romance, humour and a little Parisian magic.

Walk & Talk in French
French conversation walks
Join us for relaxed Walk & Talk en français sessions. All levels welcome — come along for fresh air, good conversation, and a touch of French.
- Bayfair — last Friday of the month at 9:15am. Meet outside Zone Café, Owens Place (near Bayfair). We’ll enjoy a gentle 20–25 minute walk to explore the Bayfair Reserve Wetland Restoration Project, followed by an optional coffee and morning tea at Zone Café. If the weather is stormy, we’ll skip the walk and meet straight for coffee instead. Feel free to let Elodie know on 021 027 90696.
- Bethlehem — “Les pas pressés”, first Monday of the month at 9am. Meet by the Gordon Carmichael Reserve Car Park, on Carmichael Road, Bethlehem. We’ll enjoy a gentle walk of approximately one hour around the reserve, followed by an optional coffee or morning tea at one of the Bethlehem Centre coffee shops.
